When will passes (Travel Pass, Ride bundle, Daily pass or ticket) get released to start booking my seat on this program?

This article explains when tickets or passes go on sale / when you can buy and start booking your rides.

Your organisation (employer/school) is in charge of deciding the type of passes they wish to provide to their users, but also when these passes should go "on sale" - and in which order.

How schools usually release their passes for sale:

Some schools decide to activate all three pass types (Travel Pass / Ride bundle / Daily pass), whereas some only decide to offer a single type of pass (e.g a Travel Pass). It all depends on how they anticipate this transportation program will be used.

As a rule of thumb, passes usually go on sale in the following order, although your school may decide to do something differently. The best place to get this information is to check the communications sent by your school or by Zeelo, or to reach out to your transport team:

  1. Travel Pass (Annual / Term passes): These passes get released first to give priority to students using the bus every day. The school may decide to set a limit on the sales for these passes so that the buses are not running over capacity.
  2. Ride bundle (e.g 10 ride bundles): these usually get released second to allow less regular users to join the program. The school may decide to set a limit on the sales of these passes to prevent buses from running over capacity.
  3. Day passes (or Daily ticket / Single / Return): these usually get released last if there's still availability on the routes.

How workplaces usually release their passes:

For paid programs: Some employers decide to activate the two pass types (Ride bundle / Daily pass), whereas some only choose to offer a single pass (e.g a Daily pass). It all depends on how they anticipate this transportation program will be used. Employers will usually release Ride bundles & Daily passes at the same time.

For free programs: Some employers decide to activate the two pass types (Travel Pass / Daily pass), whereas some only choose to offer a single pass (e.g a Daily pass). It all depends on how they anticipate this transportation program will be used. Employers will usually release Travel Passes & Daily passes at the same time.
