How to track your vehicle on services that don't require booking ahead ("Scan to board")
This article explains how to locate the vehicle tracking when you don't need to book ahead.
If you don't have a pass yet for this program
- Access the Program Page: Begin by opening the program page associated with your school or service. This can be accessed by typing in the "Where to" box on the website or the "search" option on the App
- Go to "See Stops and Timetable" to view route options and schedules. This section lists all available pickup and drop-off points.
- Choose Your Pick-Up and Drop-Off Points: Select your starting location (pick-up point) and destination (drop-off point). This helps the system tailor the results to your specific trip.
- Set Your Departure Time: Under the “Leave At” option, enter the time and date you wish to depart to see the scheduled departures available.
- View Next Departures: The system will display the next available scheduled trips, helping you choose the best option for your timing. If no results available, you may need to change the time and date to see other options, or it may be that trips have not be scheduled yet if you're looking at a distant date.
- Track Your Vehicle: The vehicle tracking becomes available when the driver starts the trip in the driver app. As soon as it's available you will see a Track Vehicle option next to the trip.
- Tap "Track vehicle" will open a live map showing your bus’s current location in real time, so you will know exactly where your ride is and when it will arrive. If tracking is unavailable, this will say "Tracking not available on the trip." It usually means the driver has not started the trip yet in the driver app or they might be driving through an area of low signal.
- Remember to get a pass to be allowed to board. If this program is "Scan to board" you do not to book a seat, simply go to the pickup and wait for your driver. With a "Scan to board" pass you are allowed to travel on any route and use stops on the program.
If you already have a valid pass for this program
- Access your Travel Pass or Ride bundle: Your pass will be accessible on the rider app homescreen or "My rides" on the web-app.
- Go to "Timetable" to view the schedules. This section lists all available pickup and drop-off points.
