I created an account using the wrong email and/or phone number
What to do if you created an account using the wrong email address and/or phone number
You might want to manage your account using a different email address, even if you have existing bookings. This could be necessary for several reasons, such as transitioning to a new email provider, consolidating your accounts, or simply preferring an email address that better reflects your current situation. Updating your email address ensures that you receive important notifications, booking confirmations, and updates related to your account. Additionally, using an email address that is actively monitored can help you stay organised and informed about your travel arrangements. By following the steps outlined below, you can easily make this change while ensuring that your existing bookings remain intact and accessible.
It's a good idea to update the account details so they reflect the information of the parent or guardian who is responsible for making purchases and managing bookings.
Step 1: Update the Account Details
1. Log in to the Rider App.
2. Navigate to the "Account" tab.
3. Tap the "Edit ✏️" icon located in the top right corner.
4. Modify any account details as necessary to align with the parent or guardian's information (please note that each phone number can only be associated with one account).
5. Save your changes.
Step 2: Change the details associated with the Travel Pass or Ride bundle
If you have purchased a Travel Pass or Ride bundle, ensure the correct rider name is linked to it, so drivers see the relevant passenger names in their app when boarding.
- Open the Travel Pass from the rider app home screen or "My rides" on the web app.
- Open "Pass settings". At the bottom, you will see the list of riders linked to the travel pass.
- Tap on the rider's name you wish to edit
- Change the details and hit save
