What to Do if Your Child Doesn’t Attend School After Purchasing a Travel Pass or Ride Bundle
We understand that plans can change—sometimes unexpectedly. If your child doesn't attend their intended school or leaves during the academic year, it's essential to understand the steps to take if you've already purchased a Travel Pass or Ride bundle. This article provides our general guidance on refund policies and outlines what to expect in such situations.
If Your Child Doesn’t Start School After You've Purchased a Pass
If your child is not admitted to the school or, for any reason, does not begin the school year, and you’ve already purchased a Travel Pass or Ride bundle, please contact us as soon as possible.
-
Early Notification: If you contact us well in advance of the school year, we can usually cancel the pass without incurring any penalties. However, this is subject to the specific terms and conditions outlined on the booking page.
-
Closer to Term Start: If it's closer to the beginning of the school year, the cancellation process may be subject to the specific terms and conditions of the service. In some cases, we may need to escalate the matter to the school to determine the best course of action.
If Your Child Leaves the School Mid-Year
If your child withdraws from the school partway through the year, different terms may apply depending on the organisation or transport provider. Each organisation has their own policies, and these will need to be reviewed before we can make any decision about your pass.
We suggest that you contact us as soon as possible in this case, so we can guide you through the following steps and consult the relevant terms.
