Location updates are dependent upon the driver app having both a valid GPS/location and access to a mobile phone data network
Here are a couple of things to check:
- The driver's mobile device has reception and a valid data connection. You can test this by opening the web browser on the device and searching for a web page
- Ensure that location settings are enabled for the Kura app on the device, this differs by operating system. The higher the level of access given to location services the more accurate the update will be
- Turn the mobile device on at least 2 minutes before starting the Kura driver app, this allows the mobile device to acquire its location prior to trying to send its location
- On the driver app, select the journey screen and ensure that a list of stops or points are shown. If this screen shows starting a journey, then the location was not acquired prior to the Kura app being started. Close the app fully using swipe up or your operating system behaviours and then restart the Kura app. You will not have lost any data that has already been recorded as this will be sent on upon successful completion of starting a journey.
