Setting Pricing For The Next Academic Year

This guide is for organisations that have routes that have zone pricing already for current routes and are setting new future routes for observers to book. This is only applicable in cases where you have prices changing on the same route and both sets of routes will remain open to book.

To start click the PRICING section located on the left-hand menu on your dashboard.

On this page, you should see pricing that you have already set up with the current pricing.

To ensure that the zones are not changed from your current routes, we do recommend that you do add additional rows instead of replacing the current prices. Should you wish to replace the current and add the current prices below this, you are able to still follow the steps below. However, you will need to update the zone prices for your current routes instead.

To add additional rows, press the ADD ZONE for the total amount of zones you will have allocated to the routes.

Once you have the number of zones you require, you will be able to enter your new pricing. You will need to ensure that your new pricing is not in the same column or row as your previous pricing.

In the red section is the current year's pricing. In the green box is the pricing for the future routes.

Once you have set the prices, press SAVE.

You will then need to add zonal pricing to each stop on the new routes, ensuring that you are allocating the new zones as all zones will show as an option. This will need to be done via the edit the trip schedule from the schedule page of each route. For example in this case you would allocate zones 4, 5 or 6 to your future routes.

Should you wish to close and then remove zones once no longer required due to only 1 set of routes being available to book, you will then need to replace the previous prices with the updated prices.

You will then be able to remove the no longer required zones by pressing the REMOVE ZONE button.

You will then need to press SAVE again

You will then need to update the zone pricing on your routes via the edit the trip schedule button from the schedule page of each route as well. Otherwise thiswill default to zone 1 for all stop otherwise.

We do advise that when amending pricing to always ensure that routes are unavailable for observers or passengers to book.
